What is the SHAVENT razor and why is it there?

SHAVENT is an innovative 3-blade swing head razor that combines sustainability and independence with elegance and comfort.

We developed the SHAVENT razor because we were shocked by the amount of waste and plastic we produce when wet shaving year after year. Existing low-waste alternatives such as safety razors or knives did not convince us in our own use and so we developed the SHAVENT razor - sustainability without sacrificing comfort and elegance.

What is the SHAVENT made of and where is it produced?

SHAVENT is made with ❤️ in Germany.

The SHAVENT razor is manufactured using high-quality precision die-cast zinc, a process that is widely used for parts that need to be functional and beautiful at the same time. The surface finish in bright chrome ensures visual brilliance.

While the first SHAVENTs still came from North Rhine-Westphalia, our parts are now cast in Thuringia, carefully polished (with many steps still done by hand!), galvanized (i.e. chrome-plated) and assembled, checked and packaged in Munich.

Which blades fit into the SHAVENT?

One of the great advantages of the SHAVENT are the Standard razor blades.

The so-called "Half Blades" or Single Edge Blades are used

What do I have to consider when starting?

The Shavent is just as safe as other razors. Simply start with significantly less pressure than usual and feel your way to your new shaving feeling at your leisure.

But of course, as with every razor in the world, razor blades are known to be sharp - so caution is always required when handling them.

Do I have to wet my skin before shaving?

The SHAVENT is a wet razor, i.e., like all wet razors, it only shaves as gently and well as it can on wet skin.

Please do not use a wet razor (the SHAVENT or any other) on dry skin, as this irritates your skin unnecessarily and the shaving result also suffers.

Do I have to use shaving foam with the SHAVENT?

The SHAVENT does without those "gliding strips" used on some drugstore razors, which provide a gliding effect with water for some (often few) shaves. The metal surface of the SHAVENT alone does not slide with water, so you have a firm grip on the handle without rubber.

So for the smoothest shave, it's highly recommended to use something that gives things a boost - with our new one SHAVE & SHOWER Rasurpflege we have developed the perfect companion for you - naturally plastic-free and gentle from head to toe!

But it doesn't matter whether you use shaving gel, foam, soap or shower gel, the main aim is that the SHAVENT glides smoothly and easily over your skin.

Do you use a shaving product that leaves a "squeak" on the skin rather than a creamy film? Then it's perfect for plastcifree shaving, because it tends to reduce the gliding ability and instead of a gentle shave, the razor starts "stuttering".

How do I clean my SHAVENT?

After each shave, simply rinse off under warm, running water. Dismantling is not necessary.

You can do a more thorough cleaning every time you change the blade, for example, by simply rinsing the individual parts under warm water. Be a little careful with the intermediate plates so that they don't bend. Without the blades and the intermediate plates, you can also let the SHAVENT go through the dishwasher to bring it to a high gloss.

If you shave very thick hair or use a very pasty shaving cream, this can be a challenge for a multi-blade razor. With the SHAVENT you don't have to worry about having to throw away blades too quickly - on the contrary! Should the demands become too tough and the SHAVENT cannot transport all the hair backwards normally, you can simply unscrew the screws 1-2 turns, rinse them with warm water if possible, screw them back on and off you go.

Can I also use the SHAVENT with 1 or 2 blades?

Yes, the SHAVENT also works with fewer blades.

We designed the SHAVENT as a 3-blade razor, i.e. with 3 blades we find the shave to be the gentlest and also recommend the "full set". But you can try out for yourself with how many blades shaving is most comfortable for you.

How long do the blades last? How often do I have to change the blades?

That's the Gretchen question that's keeping an entire razor industry alive.

If you read the blogs of replaceable head manufacturers, you will find recommendations for changing frequencies of up to (for us almost unbelievable) 1-2 times a week for daily shaving. Unthinkable what money and waste is used up for interchangeable heads.

Basically, you can change your SHAVENT blades just as often or as little as you do with your previous razor - with the small difference that every change makes a HUGE difference in costs and waste - but you already know that.

Our experience shows that it is best to go by feel. When we no longer feel the shave is "smooth" and notice it starting to pull at individual hairs, we simply swap out our blades.

How does the blade change work?

Very simple 😉 Take out the old blades, put the spacers aside, have new blades at hand and off you go:

First blade, spacer, second blade, spacer, third blade, put on head and gently tighten knurled nuts.

Is the SHAVENT razor suitable for head shaving / bald head shaving?

The "head shave" is indeed the supreme discipline of shaving - a very thin layer of skin and tissue over a very individually curved bone.

Our "house owner" bald head loves shaving with the SHAVENT - he said he needed about 3-4 shaves in which he slowly and calmly got used to the new shaving feeling and today he doesn't let anything else on his skull - because he thinks his shaving result has never been as smooth as with the SHAVENT.

Just try it out for yourself, take your time and start with little pressure. This is the best way to get a feel for your new head shaver.

Is the SHAVENT suitable for intimate shaving?

Absolutely! Thanks to its flexible oscillating head and three blades, the SHAVENT is also ideal for gently shaving intimate areas - the same precautions apply as with conventional razors, of course.

Isn't the SHAVENT handle slippery?

No, just the opposite! The chrome surface of the SHAVENT gives a special grip in combination with wet skin, you can even hear the effect when you "squeak" your finger over the handle.

If your hand gets too much shaving product when you shave, then simply rinse it off when you rinse off the SHAVENT between shaving strokes - and the grip is back!

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Can I have my package sent to a Packstation?

Naturally! Simply enter the Packstation XXX in the "Street and house number" field and your postal number in the "Additional address information" field.

Where is my order confirmation?

Your order confirmation will be automatically sent to your email address when you place an order.

If you don't receive your order confirmation within 4 hours, please check the spam or junk folder in your email inbox, because emails sometimes end up there. When does my order arrive?

As soon as your order is shipped, you will receive an e-mail with a so-called tracking link. You can use this link to track the status of your order.

Orders that are shipped within Germany are usually delivered within 1 to 3 working days.

Shipping to other countries may take longer in individual cases, depending on how busy the post office is in your country.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship throughout Europe and also to most regions worldwide, except USA, Canada and Japan.

How much does the shipping cost?

We ship all SHAVENTs free of charge within Europe, Switzerland and the UK.

Otherwise, the shipping costs depend on your order total and the country to which the items are being delivered.

Where can I find my tracking number?

You can find your tracking number in your delivery confirmation email, which you can use to track the progress of your order online.

My order arrived damaged. What can I do?

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or faulty, please take photos of the product in question and email them to us kontakt@shavent.store with the details.

We will get back to you within 48 hours and find a solution to the problem together.


What payment methods are there?

You can choose between several payment methods with us. We offer:

- Payment with Paypal (this works with and without a PayPal account - you can also use other payment methods such as SEPA via PayPal)

- Payment in advance - You will receive all information about the transfer when you make the purchase. Please allow for the fact that the specified delivery time only starts 2 bank working days after the day on which you initiated the payment at your bank.

Can I also pay in installments?

Where can I find my invoice?

How can I return an item?

Please contact our customer service team via kontakt@shavent.store and you will receive all information about the return as well as a link with which you can create a return label and print it out if necessary.

Please ensure safe shipping and use a cardboard box for the return so that everything arrives undamaged.

Can I return SHAVENT products if I have already used/opened them?

Most of our products are hygiene products for personal use. If something is wrong with the function or if a flaw has slipped through our quality control, then we will of course exchange the product immediately.

Used hygiene products cannot be returned.

However, we have decided to make an exception to this rule:

Please use other products, such as. the travel bag only when you are sure that you want to keep your SHAVENT. Unfortunately, we cannot take back travel bags that have already been used and show signs of wear.

Likewise, we cannot take back used soaps and gels for hygienic reasons.

How long does it usually take until I receive my credit after the return?

We aim to process refunds within three days of your item reaching us. You will receive an email when your refund has been issued. However, please note that it may take a few days for your bank to transfer the payment back to your account.

The refund will be made to the same payment method that you used for the purchase. If the refund hasn't arrived ten working days after the return, get in touch with us and we'll find out where the problem could be.


Are there any costs if I create a customer account?

What is the SHAVE & SHOWER care series?

We have one for you Shaving Solid, as well as shaving gel developed in powder form. Our shaving solid is more than a classic "shaving soap" - because soap attacks the protective acid layer of your skin and often leaves it dry and tight. That was out of the question for our shaving care - that's why our shaving care products are soap-free and pH-neutral. They keep the acid mantle of your skin intact and give it a lot of care and moisture.

The shaving gels often come in an unnecessarily large amount of packaging, from a plastic tube to a spray can - that didn't come in the bag for us! Instead, we simply put the shaving gel as a powder in a paper bag.

So we can bring it to your home without plastic, where you just shake it with 200ml of water. And you already have a large portion of light, nourishing and economical shaving gel, without large portions of packaging waste.

Can I have the SHAVENT sent as a gift?
